What happens in HubSpot

The autocomplete above is the visible half. The real value is what happens automatically once that lookup runs inside your CRM.

  1. 1. A contact is created or updated

    Someone submits your form, or a contact record changes in HubSpot. That is the trigger - no manual export, no spreadsheet.

  2. 2. HubSpot fires a workflow webhook

    A HubSpot workflow sends the contact's ABN (or company name) to Vanillah's verification service - the same lookup you just tried above.

  3. 3. We verify against the ABR

    Vanillah queries the Australian Business Register in real time and pulls back the legal entity name, ABN status, GST registration, and entity type.

  4. 4. Verified data is written back to HubSpot

    Custom contact properties are populated automatically: ABN Status, Legal Entity Name, GST Registered, Entity Type, and a Verified date. Mismatches get flagged for review.

  5. 5. It re-checks itself

    Every 30 days the record is re-verified, so a cancelled ABN or a lapsed GST registration never sits stale in your CRM.
